Pliny Porter is an international Motion Picture and Television Executive, Producer, Writer, and Production Consultant. He is also a Business Entrepreneur and start-up CEO in the Software Technology and Media space. Pliny has written and/or produced over a dozen studio and independent pictures worldwide and successfully sold publicly listed software and media companies. Pliny travels between his homes in Los Angeles, Manhattan, and Paris and his Tech operations in S.E. Asia.

​For over 20 years, Pliny has served as a senior executive in the Motion Picture and Television business as President and Head of Production & Development at The Walt Disney Company, Twentieth Century Fox studios, Revolution Studios, Firework Pictures (A CanWest Co.), founded and ran Development & Production as President of Julia Roberts’ production company for seven years. During his tenure as President of Julia Roberts’ Production Company, he was responsible for developing and initiating production on several box-office blockbusters and award-winning movies such as “Erin Brockovich, “Notting Hill,” “Stepmom,” “Runaway Bride” and others. 

​Pliny is currently writing, producing, developing, and consulting for several film and TV projects: “The Other People,” a futuristic global eco-thriller TV Series; “Alice in the Land of Milk and Honey,” a black urban Action drama.; and “The Tesla Effect,” a time-travel Action-thriller TV series.
