Season Two Arc

All of ECO2 remains on edge, as they could be detained at any time due to the new Anti-Eco Terrorism act passed by the US Congress and the European Union.

Walking a fine line with politicians and oil executives, Joel encounters significant resistance as he works to ease the petroleum industry’s withdrawal from production, suggesting subsidies for fusion plans and more solar farms.

Governments enforce mileage restrictions on airlines; when private jet owners ignore these rules, coordinated bird strikes begin taking out private and commercial jets, leading to crippling ground stops. To continue air travel, a solution must be found that doesn’t further harm the environment and provoke the animals’ wrath. Tezlo’s company begins developing solar-powered jets; the military shows interest in the technology, but Tezlo promises Brad he will consult with him before rolling it out.

Though still skeptical about Tezlo’s plans for genetic engineering, Eve acknowledges that his research is cutting-edge and promising. After informing Brad, she agrees to collaborate with Tezlo to study and produce a compound of rare metals and unusual forest mushrooms that forms a self-generative fuel. Bina’s falcons circle the lab, secretly keeping tabs for Brad.

As polar ice melts, newly formed Arctic waterways open up. International governments scramble to pass legislation to control and protect these new straits. Joel clashes with the lobbyists courting the White House and Congress. Meanwhile, dolphins and whales coordinate to sabotage oil and container ships attempting to navigate the new routes, damaging fuel lines and propellers.

Thirty billion tons of carbon trapped in the Permafrost threaten to release a “carbon bomb” of heat-trapping gas into the atmosphere as it melts. Brad sends a large contingent of ECO2 members to Alaska, including Bina, who quietly executes a critical mission to stop an unknown group attempting to drill into the Permafrost.

Kraatchov, furious that his plan to steal the genetic code has been thwarted and devastated because it means his son is doomed, reveals his vulnerability. Despite his powerful exterior, he is driven by fatherly love and desperation for his ill son. He schemes to use his geo-magnetic technology to gain the upper hand.

Max naturally emerges as the leader of a young social movement advocating for collaboration with animals, tuning into the Collective Intelligence, and making necessary changes to halt human ecological damage. Amara connects Max and Paola, who starts featuring him on her widely-followed social media platforms, greatly increasing his visibility. Max and his dog travel the country, gathering followers and establishing a commune focused on local living, sustainable food sources, and minimal animal consumption.

Amara hints that she has mysterious knowledge about Max and his movement being essential to the survival of the human species. At the season’s close, Max witnesses her secretly teleport.
